• Assist in performing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment, including wiring, conduit, lighting, and power distribution.
• Learn and apply electrical codes and regulations (to ensure safe and compliant work practices.
• Under supervision, assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on various equipment, including motors, sensors, and control systems.
• Learn to identify root causes of problems and implement effective solutions.
• Fulfil all areas delineated in the Apprenticeship Curriculum Standard provided by Skilled Trades Ontario.
• Demonstrate and receive sign-off on competencies/skills in your Apprenticeship Training Standard Logbook
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, hot work permit and personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Enrolled in or planning to enroll in an Industrial Electrician apprenticeship program
• 1 year experience in maintenance or in an Industrial Electrician program
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to build relationships and work with people
