Sensata Technologies is seeking a hands-on Applied AI Engineer to develop practical AI solutions for business challenges.
The role supports AI-powered applications, workflows, and automation across engineering, supply chain, operations, quality, legal, and commercial functions.
The position works with enterprise data, APIs, large language models, document extraction, AI assistants, and process automation tools.
General responsibilities
- Develop, test, and support models, services, applications, workflows, and data pipelines.
- Partner with data science, product, data engineering, and platform teams to understand requirements and contribute to technical solutions.
- Assist with model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, retraining, and corrective actions.
- Improve model performance, reliability, latency, and cost efficiency by analyzing issues and implementing enhancements.
- Create reusable code, documentation, and tooling that support team delivery and consistency.
- Monitor deployed models for performance issues, drift, and operational concerns.
- Communicate progress, risks, and technical considerations clearly to team members and stakeholders.
- Apply technical standards, coding guidelines, and established best practices.
