Role overview
Fuse Energy is building an applied AI team within an integrated energy company.
The Applied AI Engineer will use backend engineering expertise to develop customer features and internal AI productivity tools.
The role includes work with energy pricing, trading, demand, and weather-related data.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered consumer features, including personalised energy recommendations and AI-assisted onboarding.
- Build and optimise internal AI tools for automation and workflow improvement.
- Integrate AI-driven features with backend engineers and data scientists.
- Align AI models with real-time market conditions and energy pricing.
- Improve trading strategies using weather and demand forecasts.
- Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of AI tools and models.
Requirements
- At least three years of engineering experience.
- Backend engineering experience with practical applied AI or machine learning experience.
- Strong Python or similar programming skills and familiarity with AI and machine learning libraries.
- Experience with large-scale LLMs or VLMs and production deployment of AI solutions.
