Applications Support Senior Analyst - Assistant Vice President

Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Provide technical and business support to users and resolve application issues quickly.
• Maintain production applications and their operating environments for stability, quality, and functionality.
• Perform start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring, regional handover, and same-day risk reconciliations.
• Develop technical support documentation and ensure storage and archiving procedures function correctly.
• Assess production issue risk and impact and escalate issues appropriately.
• Define scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution.
• Review and develop contingency plans to maintain application availability.
• Partner with development and production support teams on bug fixes and support tooling.
• Participate in releases from development and testing through production deployment.
• Identify technology risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues and communicate their impact.

Recommended qualifications

• 6 or more years of experience in an application support role.
• Experience installing, configuring, or supporting business applications.
• Experience with some programming languages and willingness or ability to learn.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and experience with issue tracking, reporting, or problem management tools.
• Ability to plan workload, communicate clearly, and explain technical issues to non-IT staff.
• Ability to work with support and technology teams and adjust to changing priorities.

Education

• Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience.
