To strengthen our MEA team in Saudi Arabia, we are looking for a full-time:
Responsibilities
- In the role of Applications Engineer, your role is to support and deliver the highest quality technical support to the MEA systems integrators, consultants and end users.
- Providing hardware and software application support as well as supporting the team in delivering the training curriculum for Qsys and other specialist QSC platforms.
- The focus of your work is in the following areas:
- Provide applications support and QSC Training content to the MEA market.
- Ensure the highest level of customer experience whilst identifying solutions to software and hardware issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including programming, commissioning and network configuration.
- Track and monitor system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits.
- Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. product managers).
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers whilst ensuring all issues are logged and accordingly.
- Manage the follow up procedure to ensure systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.
- Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.
- Maintain and build an excellent relationship with customers and end users.
- In conjunction with the product development teams participate in market research, competitor and customer surveys.
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
- Attend industry training and develop relevant knowledge and skills to enhance performance.
Qualifications
- Your profile
- Education to degree level or qualification in industry relevant field such as sound engineering
- Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, installation Engineer, Commissioning Technician or similar role
- Strong experience in supporting audio visual or IT infrastructure services is key
- Commercially astute with the ability to understand a complex sales process
- Proven expertise managing complex systems within a corporate AV/IT environment
- Supported products and services NOT exclusively based on hardware
- Supported products and services to Tier 1 integrators and end users
- Capable of working with Visio and Autocad, as well as EASE Focus/Address.
- Well organised to manage conflicting priorities
- Excellent problem-solving skills individually and as part of a team
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Confident and engaging presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills – with the ability to translate technical information for all types of audiences
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Fluent English language skills (both verbal and written)
- Fluent Arabic language skills (both verbal and written) would be an additional benefit
