The Application Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the application engineering team to support global business development and sales teams in technical applications of Test & Measurement products.
The individual in this role will oversee the daily activities of Application Engineers, who review customers’ technical needs and recommend solutions, and inspire a culture of innovation towards new solutions for customers’ challenges.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Recruiting, Developing, and Mentoring talent, including development engineers and applications engineers with unique expertise spanning multiple target industries and geographies.
- Build and maintain the team’s overall expertise in Emerson Test & Measurement equipment and their applications.
- Collaborate with Business Managers, Marketing, Sales & R&D to align the team's execution to growth strategy and short-term business needs.
- Engage with sales to drive customer engagements, through mutual understanding and prioritization of efforts, to achieve shared business goals.
- Manage ambiguity and drive change management as business strategy evolves.
- Drive engineering execution excellence.
- Handle special projects or tasks assigned by management.

For This Role, You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in Engineering
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%), both domestic and international
- General test and measurement knowledge
- Only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR §120) may be considered.
That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Experience with project management and working with remote teams
- 5+ years of team or project management experience
- LabVIEW programming skills and any NI hardware and software experience
- 3+ years’ experience managing an engineering, application, or technical sales team
