Role Overview

  • The Application Support Specialist will provide end to end functional and technical support for the bank’s omni channel applications (Mobile, Retail, Corporate, and Branch Banking).
  • This role focuses on daily operational support, incident management, log monitoring, and release deployments to ensure seamless system uptime and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Incident & Ticket Management: Analyze, prioritize, and resolve Business As Usual (BAU) queries, Service Requests, and incidents within established SLAs.
  • Monitoring & RCA: Proactively monitor application error/health logs using tools like AppDynamics to detect anomalies and perform preliminary Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Deployment & Infra Support: Support weekend releases, patch management, database upgrades, and Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, performing post deployment validation.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams within an Agile/DevOps framework.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Databases & OS: Basic Oracle SQL and MySQL query skills; working knowledge of Linux servers and basic commands.
  • Tech Stack: Basic understanding of Java, JavaScript, and HTML; familiarity with APM tools (e.g., AppDynamics).
  • Methodology: Familiarity with Agile workflows, sprint processes, and log based issue detection.
  • Availability: Flexibility to support weekend deployments and occasional extended hours during critical releases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the Banking & Financial Services domain.
  • Familiarity with Omni channel architectures, APIs, and microservices.
  • Experience using ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or Remedy.

Salary

  • QAR 14,000 QAR 16,000 per month
