Job summary
The L1 Application Support Engineer provides first-level support for business-critical applications.
The role focuses on application monitoring, incident management, SQL, basic Linux, production troubleshooting, and SLA compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor business applications and ensure high availability.
- Handle incidents, service requests, and user queries as an L1 support contact.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate unresolved issues with proper documentation.
- Execute SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and report generation.
- Monitor application health and analyze logs to identify root causes.
- Resolve incidents within defined SLA timelines.
- Coordinate with users, development teams, and vendors to resolve issues.
- Prepare incident reports and maintain support documentation.
- Support production deployments and complete post-deployment verification.
- Maintain daily operational checklists and application health reports.
Required technical skills
- Good knowledge of SQL, including Oracle or MS SQL Server environments.
- Basic knowledge of Linux commands.
- Application Production Support experience.
- Incident and Service Request Management experience.
