Application Production Support

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and business support for users of Citi applications.
• Handle application support issues and queries, provide short-term resolutions, and coordinate long-term remediation with technology partners.
• Act as a liaison between users or traders, internal technology groups, and vendors.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and application releases through production deployment.
• Perform post-release checkouts after application releases and infrastructure updates.
• Develop and maintain technical support documentation.
• Analyze applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues.
• Work with development colleagues to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.
• Own support project items covering stability, efficiency, and effectiveness initiatives.
• Assess operational risk, maintain compliance, and escalate control issues transparently.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience.
• Experience in SRE, observability, or data engineering.
• Strong understanding of incident management, recovery processes, engineering operations, and related KPIs.
• Experience with automation, including scripting for health checks, alerting, and remediation using SQL and Python.
• Experience with distributed systems, Unix, shell scripting, log analysis, databases, stored procedures, Autosys, and performance monitoring.
• Experience troubleshooting certificate renewals, servers, and file systems.
• Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AI tools and methodologies is preferred.
