Application Engineer II

Deploy, configure, manage, and optimize various applications in use at Station Casinos and work in an agile team environment with other engineers to deliver application capabilities as described in product backlog.

Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions: 1.

Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Station Casinos’ “Beyond the Best” Company-wide culture and demonstrating Station Casinos’ Championship Service Standards at all times. 2.

Deploy, configure, and manage various applications used by Station Casinos to support line of business operations. 3.

Consult with other engineers to identify current operating procedures and clarify design and implementation objectives. 4.

Formulate plans using industry standard techniques to outline tasks required to deliver committed user stories. 5.

Work effectively as a member within an agile Scrum team. 6.

Address and resolve application performance and availability issues in a cost-effective and timely fashion. 7.

Participate with other members of a product team to operate, optimize, and support applications in a production environment.

Minimum Qualifications: 1. 5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment with demonstrable expertise in at least four of the major products in use at Station Casinos preferred. 2.

Knowledge of general server architecture principles. 3.

An understanding of agile Scrum principles and practices. 4.

Certification as an agile Scrum Team Member. 5.

Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. 6.

Ability to communicate effectively with Stakeholders, Team Members and Leadership in both written and verbal form. 7.

working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 8.

Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements: 1.

Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. 2.

Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods. 3.

Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers, devices, and peripherals.

Work Conditions: Work is typically in an area, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second hand smoke.

Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access.

Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position.

Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp.

These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area.

Work may entail trained chemical usage.

Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
