Job Overview
Citi's Markets Operations Technology unit develops critical front-office applications for the Global FX and Local Markets business.
The Development team delivers applications for foreign exchange, money markets, derivatives, fixed income, models, and risk management tools.
Responsibilities
- Own assigned development tasks and deliver them within tight timelines.
- Participate in the full development project lifecycle and understand requirements from the Project Lead.
- Write optimized, documented code and perform peer code reviews.
- Develop unit plans, perform unit testing, and improve product experience.
- Assist Support, business analysts, user communities, and Project Leads as required.
- Participate in technical design and contribute to innovative financial markets solutions.
Knowledge and Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in technical software application development.
- In-depth knowledge of Java, J2EE, HTML/CSS, Angular, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Struts, Spring, and microservices.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, exception handling, collections, multithreading, HTTP sessions, and Java web technologies.
- Experience with Oracle or another industry-standard database on UNIX, including SQL scripting and performance tuning.
