Application Administrator - Sharepoint

The Application Administrator is responsible for the day to day management, configuration, and support of enterprise applications used across the organization. This role ensures that applications are available, secure, and performing optimally while supporting business needs. The administrator will collaborate with business units, IT teams, and vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, manage access, and maintain documentation to support business continuity and compliance.
- Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise applications to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
- Monitor application health, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors or IT teams for resolution.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and access rights in alignment with governance and security policies.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes with timely provisioning and deprovisioning of access.
- Plan, test, and implement patches, upgrades, integrations, and new releases in line with change management policies.
- Document system configurations, operational procedures, and changes for knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, recommend solutions, and optimize application usage.
- Provide end user support, training, and guidance to enhance adoption and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, data protection policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform periodic reviews of application access, logs, and audit trails to maintain security and compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, performance improvements, and application optimization.
- Stay updated on product roadmaps, new features, and best practices to recommend enhancements.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
- Bachelor's Degree Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Required
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, ServiceNow) are preferred depending on the applications supported.
- 1-3 years Experience in application administration, configuration, or support. Required
- 1-3 years Experience in managing enterprise applications, user access, and application lifecycle management. Required
- 1-3 years Experience coordinating with vendors and IT teams for application updates and troubleshooting. Required
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications, system administration, and IT security principles. High
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, configuration, and performance monitoring of applications. High
- Knowledge of user account management, access controls, and compliance standards. High
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. High
- Ability to collaborate with business and IT teams to implement application enhancements. High
- Knowledge of ITIL processes, change management, and documentation best practices. High
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, incidents, and requests in a fast paced environment. High
