High School Diploma or GED Certificate.

Achieve within 2 years of employment, Level 1 Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. (ADEQ) State certification as Water Operator (treatment and distribution) or Wastewater Operator (collection and treatment) is required

Valid Driver's License and CDL Class "A" with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor vehicle record review).

For OITs, required to obtain a CDL Class "A" with Hazmat Endorsement within 6 months from date of employment.

Level Operators must have knowledge, skill, and ability for the comprehension, application, and/or analysis of elements within the following:

Evaluate Physical Characteristics of Waste stream
