Reporting to the Head of Data Platforms and Analytics, the Analytics and Automation Test Engineer is responsible for delivering structured, end-to-end testing across a broad portfolio of platforms and solutions within the Data Platforms and Analytics function. Operating as a shared resource across multiple delivery teams, the role plays a critical part in safeguarding quality, reducing defects in production, and ensuring that data, integration, analytics, and automation outputs consistently meet business expectations.

This position requires both technical breadth and a meticulous, structured approach to test design and execution, enabling the role to flex across diverse technologies including Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau, Power BI, integration tooling, Python, R, and UiPath. The Analytics and Automation Test Engineer will be comfortable context-switching between teams, picking up new platforms quickly, and tailoring testing approaches to the technology and risk profile of each delivery.

The Analytics and Automation Test Engineer will champion a culture of quality across the department, fostering relationships with each delivery team and continuously evolving testing practices – including thorough and thoughtful adoption of AI tooling to enhance, speed, coverage and rigour.
