SII Canada seeks an intermediate Business Analyst to collaborate with stakeholders in a complex financial environment. The role involves gathering requirements, writing SQL, supporting trading and back-office teams, and liaising with development teams.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various stakeholders in a complex financial environment involving multiple applications and architectures at a regional and/or global level
- Identify functional needs and user pain points and translate them into technical requirements
- Provide functional and technical expertise to produce and promote maintainable, high quality solutions
- Document system requirements and maintain support runbooks
- Read, understand, and write complex SQL queries and stored procedures
- Implement and automate test case scenarios
- Liaise with development teams located in various time zones
- Understand regulatory environments and constraints
- Analyze and resolve functional issues while managing incident reporting through the appropriate channels
- Support end users across Sales, Trading, Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office teams
- Partner with development teams on release management
- Work closely with global support teams to ensure high quality user support
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
- Advanced SQL proficiency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders
- Experience with financial products, including structured or trade finance
- Strong balance of technical skills, business knowledge, and interpersonal abilities
- Detail oriented and well organized
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and follow up capabilities
- Flexible and adaptable
- Proactive and results driven mindset
- Team oriented, client focused, and open to diverse viewpoints
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
