About the Role
BMO Capital Markets is hiring an experienced Analyst or Associate for the Montreal Investment Banking team. You will support client execution, financial modeling, due diligence, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities
- Integrate sales teams to develop, present, and win mandates for new business opportunities
- Create presentation documents on financial solutions for clients and participate in client presentations
- Monitor clients, their industry, and regulatory changes impacting portfolio and business needs
- Communicate with partners to close new sales
- Directly manage a diversified portfolio of private and medium sized companies, progressively handling increased responsibilities
- Review and continuously monitor performance of existing accounts and client business relationships
- Perform due diligence activities including client visits, business model analysis, and comprehensive review of industry trends and regulations
- Identify opportunities for client portfolio diversification and efficiency improvements
- Create financial models to analyze client portfolios and anticipate client needs
- Provide guidance and feedback to analysts, supporting their development and coaching
Requirements
- Generally 1 to 6 years of relevant professional experience with post secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent combination
- Undergraduate degree with courses in finance, economics, or accounting and excellent grades
- One or more years of investment banking services experience, or valuation experience as a financial analyst
- Knowledge of capital markets, investment banking products, and regulations
- Experience or understanding of credit analysis
- Strong quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and credit analysis skills
- Proficiency in financial software and database management tools
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Collaboration and teamwork skills

Salary
- Base salary range: CAD 100,000 to CAD 135,000 annually, depending on level and experience.
