Job Overview

  • The Credit Planning Analyst will provide administrative and analytical support to the Credit Planning department in the planning and execution of loan products, policies and guidelines.
  • This position assists in the administration, reporting and research of products and services in the market/financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the marketplace for changes in the industry and assist in the research, development and implementation of new loan products and services.
  • Support the review of mortgage loan policies, procedures, services, products and documentation in compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Draft or assist with written reports to senior management, parent bank, regulators and board of directors.
  • Perform quality control on lending applications by checking policy adherence and data input quality.
  • Support the Credit Planning team in researching and developing new lending products.
  • Support the Credit Planning team to implement changes in the internal banking system for new products and services, data aggregation, reporting and improvement of existing lending processes.
  • Support the Credit Planning team to improve efficiencies, identify and remedy issues and enhance effectiveness of assigned functions.
  • Provide training/guidance to branches and Credit Analysis & Adjudication regarding bank’s products, policies or procedures.
  • Responsible for the administration needs of the department.
  • Responsibilities may also include special project supports.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 2 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Direct credit experience in banking/financial services industry is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications – i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
  • Demonstrated time management and multi tasking skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and provide meaningful insights.
  • Proven ability to work well with others.
  • Bilingual in Korean and English is an asset.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
