Position Information

Position Summary

Maintenance Duties

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; carry equipment; and operate equipment and building utility shut-offs.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and air-conditioning filter replacement, and complete cleanup of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical components, guestroom items, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, switches, and outlets.
• Program televisions and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping and external landscaping sprinklers.
• Enter work-related information using computers, including air-handler schedules and temperature changes.

Safety and Physical Work

• Follow company safety and security policies and procedures, report maintenance problems and incidents, complete safety training and certifications, and properly store flammable materials.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier items with assistance.
• Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders; reach overhead and below the knees; and perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Guest and Team Service

• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Maintain quality standards, positive working relationships, teamwork, and clear professional communication.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Some experience in general maintenance and interior or exterior surface preparation and painting is preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• No supervisory experience is required.

Required Qualification

• Valid driver's license.
