Role Description
The Air Conditioning Chiller Technician is a full-time remote role responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning chillers and related HVAC systems in client facilities.
The technician will coordinate with operations, clients, and internal teams to support reliable service and minimize system downtime.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose system performance issues and conduct routine and preventive maintenance.
- Calibrate controls, check refrigerant levels, and replace or repair mechanical and electrical components.
- Document maintenance activities, prepare service reports, and coordinate work scheduling.
- Follow safety standards and manufacturer guidelines while supporting other building maintenance activities.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations for system optimization to clients and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Strong equipment maintenance skills, including familiarity with air conditioning chillers and related HVAC components.
- Preventive maintenance skills, including scheduling, routine inspections, and service records.
- Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and control issues in chiller and HVAC systems.
- Maintenance and repair skills, including corrective maintenance, part replacement, and system adjustments.
- General maintenance skills applicable to building and facility systems.
- Relevant technical certification or diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety standards, refrigerant handling, and applicable regulations is beneficial.
- Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams, use diagnostic tools, and work independently in remote settings.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are expected.
- Facilities management or building services experience is an advantage.
