Job Summary

Installation and Commissioning

• Install, position, and mount split, window, cassette, package, and central AC systems according to manufacturer specifications and building codes.
• Connect electrical wiring, control systems, refrigerant piping, and drainage networks.

Troubleshooting and Repair

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-line faults in cooling equipment.
• Repair or replace compressors, motors, contactors, capacitors, fans, and printed circuit boards.
• Detect and repair refrigerant leaks and perform vacuuming, brazing, and refrigerant recharging in line with environmental standards.

Preventive Maintenance

• Execute scheduled maintenance checklists, including coil washing, air-filter cleaning or replacement, and drain-line flushing.
• Inspect electrical connections, monitor current draw with multimeters, and verify thermostat calibration.

Compliance and Records

• Maintain precise logs of maintenance services, parts replacements, and refrigerant usage.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental rules, use appropriate PPE, and execute lockout/tagout procedures as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A diploma, high school diploma, or vocational trade certificate in HVAC or Refrigeration Technology is required.
• The role requires 2–5 years of proven experience.

Department and Reporting

• The position is in the Maintenance or Facilities Management department.
• The role reports to a Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
