Responsibilities
- Contribute to AI Application Development
- Participate in the development of applications and services leveraging Large Language Models and Generative AI.
- Build prototypes to explore and validate new AI use cases.
- Experiment with different models and prompting approaches.
- Integrate AI models into applications using APIs and SDKs.
- Contribute to solutions using internal documents and enterprise data.
- Participate in the development of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
- Help test and improve existing AI applications.
- Develop Software
- Develop scripts and application components primarily using Python and/or C#/.NET.
- Contribute to backend services and APIs.
- Work with databases and other data sources when required by the project.
- Learn how AI capabilities are integrated into existing enterprise applications.
- Write understandable, maintainable and documented code.
- Investigate technical issues with support from experienced engineers.
- Learn and Experiment with Generative AI
- Gain practical experience with Microsoft Azure AI services and Azure AI Foundry.
- Learn how Large Language Models work from an application developer's perspective.
- Develop an understanding of concepts such as prompts, tokens, context windows, embeddings and vector search.
- Experiment with RAG and other approaches for providing enterprise knowledge to AI models.
- Compare different AI models and approaches.
- Learn to consider quality, reliability, latency and cost when using AI services.
- Explore emerging AI technologies and evaluate their potential for practical use cases.
- Collaborate with the Team
- Work with experienced software engineers and technical experts.
- Participate in technical discussions and project activities.
- Document experiments, technical findings and developed solutions.
- Present results and explain technical choices clearly.
- Share ideas and contribute to the exploration of new AI use cases.
- Gradually take ownership of development tasks as your skills and experience grow.

Qualifications
- You have:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related technical field.
- Good programming fundamentals.
- Practical programming experience with Python, C#, Java or another modern programming language, acquired through university projects, personal projects, internships or professional experience.
- Basic understanding of software development concepts.
- Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI and Large Language Models.
- Basic understanding of APIs and how software applications communicate with external services.
- Ability to investigate technical problems and learn independently.
- Curiosity and willingness to experiment with new technologies.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Good working proficiency in English.
- Academic projects, personal projects and open-source contributions are considered relevant experience.

- While not required, the following skills and experiences would be considered an advantage. We do not expect candidates to possess all of these qualifications:
- Experience with Python for AI-related projects.
- Knowledge of C#/.NET or ASP.NET Core.
- Previous experience using an LLM API or AI SDK.
- Personal or academic projects involving Generative AI.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or another cloud platform.
- Basic understanding of RAG, embeddings or vector search.
- Experience with SQL or relational databases.
- Experience developing REST APIs or backend applications.
- Familiarity with Git or another version-control system.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Fluency in Italian
