Role Overview
Join the SOLIDWORKS Gen7 and Virtual Companion initiative as an AI Quality Engineer.
Ensure end-to-end quality validation of AI-driven and cloud-based features.
Support functional, performance, and reliability testing before customer release.
Role Description and Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing across AI and cloud-based solutions.
- Validate AI/ML model behavior, accuracy, edge cases, and real-world workflows.
- Identify, document, and track defects with development and product teams.
- Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and feature development planning.
- Analyze test results, produce test reports, and support release readiness decisions.
- Improve QA processes, tools, and testing best practices.
- Support beta releases, customer feedback analysis, and production issue validation.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- One to three years of experience in software QA or automation testing.
- Experience testing CAD/PLM or graphics-intensive applications.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and defect tracking tools.
- Familiarity with continuous integration pipelines and modern DevOps tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on automation scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, or an equivalent language.
- Experience testing AI/ML features or cloud services.
- Working knowledge of generative AI, LLM frameworks, or machine learning data validation.
- Exposure to performance, reliability, and scalability testing.
