Role overview
Join AMD's AI group as a Lead or Staff Software Engineer.
Develop AI/ML C and C++ kernels and dataflow schedules for Ryzen processors built on XDNA NPUs.
Map large language models and Stable Diffusion networks to NPU platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement optimized C++ kernel libraries for NPU and GPU platforms.
- Integrate kernels into the existing software stack with research and software teams.
- Develop SIMD- and instruction-level-parallel vectorized code for VLIW vector processors.
- Profile kernels, identify bottlenecks, and optimize critical sections for throughput.
- Develop CPU models for machine learning operators and write unit and integration tests.
- Validate kernel performance across hardware platforms.
- Document designs and performance improvements while following Git, coding, and pull-request practices.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, machine learning researchers, and software engineers.
Preferred experience
- Excellent C, C++, and Python coding skills.
- Understanding of SIMD, tensor, and VLIW processor architecture and parallel computing.
- Experience with vectorized programming and performance optimization.
