Position Overview
EDC is hiring an AI and Machine Learning Engineer at Level 17 or 18 to help scale responsible, enterprise-grade AI and machine learning solutions.
The role works across AI and ML engineering, MLOps, cloud platforms, DevOps, Responsible AI, governance, and production operations.
Level 17 focuses on building and supporting production systems under guidance, while Level 18 owns the end-to-end lifecycle and helps shape enterprise AI standards.
Compensation
- Level 17 salaries typically range from CAD 84,698 to CAD 112,931 annually, plus a performance-based incentive.
- Level 18 salaries typically range from CAD 96,557 to CAD 128,743 annually, plus a performance-based incentive.
Location and Work Model
- EDC operates under a hybrid work model, with employees currently required to work from the office two days per week.
- Effective September 2026, the office requirement is expected to increase to three days per week through a phased approach, subject to change.
- The role can be performed from EDC headquarters in Ottawa or Community Hubs in Toronto or Montreal.
