Role Description
- This is a full time remote role for an AI / Machine Learning Engineer.
- The role involves designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning models to support payment, remittance, and risk related use cases across the Group’s businesses.
- Day to day responsibilities include collecting and preparing data, building and training models, evaluating performance, and optimizing algorithms for scalability and reliability in production environments.
- The engineer will collaborate with cross functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, integrate models with existing systems and APIs, and monitor deployed models to ensure accuracy, fairness, and compliance.
- The role also includes documenting workflows, contributing to architectural decisions, and staying current with advancements in AI, machine learning, and financial technology.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Computer Science and Algorithms skills for designing efficient, scalable solutions.
- Candidates should possess solid Statistics and Pattern Recognition skills for robust model development and data analysis.
- Candidates should possess practical expertise in Neural Networks for building and optimizing modern AI and deep learning models.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (and optionally Java or C++) and in ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit learn).
- Experience with data pipelines, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deploying and maintaining ML solutions.
- Background in financial services, payments, or fintech is an advantage, along with an understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory considerations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical thinking, clear communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, multicultural environment.
