Role overview

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and modify computer vision and machine learning algorithms and models.
• Design integrations and tune machine learning and computer vision algorithms.
• Research and prototype object detection and recognition techniques.
• Develop convolutional neural networks for image classification and object detection.
• Shape product strategy for applied machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions.
• Engage with customers, solution teams, workshops, and prototyping initiatives.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of machine learning team members.
• Contribute to the wider machine learning and artificial intelligence community.
• Construct, train, evaluate, and tune neural networks.

Technical knowledge

• Knowledge of embedded vision processing systems and open-source tools and platforms is relevant.
• Knowledge of statistical modeling, data extraction, and analysis is required.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning is required.
• Relevant areas include natural language processing, classification, pattern recognition, recommendation, targeting, and ranking systems.

Mandatory qualifications and experience

• Two to five years of work or educational experience in machine learning or artificial intelligence is stated.
• Experience applying machine learning algorithms to real-world problems with large datasets is required.
• Experience building scalable machine learning systems and data-driven products with cross-functional teams is required.
• One or more of Java, C++, or Python is required.
• One or more of Caffe, Torch, or TensorFlow is required.
• One or more relevant image or video vision libraries or services is required.
• One or more of Tableau, Hadoop, Spark, HBase, or Kafka is listed.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Microsoft, IBM, or Google Cloud is required.
• Research publications or community contributions are preferred.

Education

• A BA or BS in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is specified.
