Armstrong Collective is seeking an AI Enablement Specialist to bridge AI tools and business users, driving adoption and responsible use. The role involves training, governance, and advocacy, requiring 7+ years of IT experience with at least 2 years in enterprise AI tools.

Responsibilities
- Enable non technical users to safely and effectively use approved AI tools
- Facilitate AI tooling for technical back end engineering and product teams
- Develop and deliver onboarding programs for non technical business users adopting AI tools
- Partner with managers and department heads to identify where AI can add value and design adoption plans
- Facilitate the AI Working group, leading meetings and documenting use cases
- Support citizen developers in building lightweight AI powered workflows
- Run regular enablement sessions, lunch and learns, and Q&A drop ins
- Act as first point of contact for AI related questions from business users
- Own day to day administration of AI tool licenses and subscriptions
- Monitor usage data to optimize license and credit spend
- Develop and maintain an Acceptable AI Use policy in collaboration with Compliance and IT Security
- Collaborate with P&C and L&D team to embed AI literacy into broader skills development programs
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Systems, or equivalent experience
- Certified AI Enablement Professional (KPII)
- 7+ years of experience in IT product management, operations, or process improvement
- At least 2 years working with Enterprise AI tools and platforms with focus on training and adoption
- Understanding of core AI fundamentals: prompt engineering, context engineering, custom GPTs, agentic AI
- Familiarity with enterprise AI and Data platforms (e.g., Claude Code, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Foundry, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric)
- Hands on experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini) in a professional context
- Demonstrated background in training, enablement, change management, or digital adoption roles
- Working knowledge of data classification principles and compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI)

Purpose
- Reporting to the Director, Corporate IT Services, the AI Enablement Specialist bridges AI tools and people across the organization.
- Works with citizen developers, business users, and IT/Product teams to discover, adopt, and use AI responsibly.
Key Areas of Accountability
- Enable non technical users to safely use approved AI tools.
- Facilitate AI tooling for technical teams.
- Develop and deliver onboarding programs for AI tools.
- Partner with managers to identify AI value and design adoption plans.
- Facilitate the AI Working group.
- Support citizen developers in building AI workflows.
- Run enablement sessions and Q&A drop ins.
- Act as first point of contact for AI questions.

Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Business Systems, or equivalent.

- Prosci Change Management certification an asset.
- Technical product management certification an asset.
- Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI 900) or Azure AI Engineer.
- 7+ years IT experience with at least 2 years in Enterprise AI tools.
- Understanding of AI fundamentals: prompt engineering, context engineering, custom GPTs, agentic AI.
- Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms (Claude Code, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Foundry, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric).
- Hands on experience with AI productivity tools.

- Working knowledge of data classification and compliance frameworks.
Work Environment
- Hybrid role with three in office days per week based in Vancouver, BC.
Compensation
- Base salary CAD 70,000 to CAD 85,000 per annum.
