Purpose

  • Reporting to the Director, Corporate IT Services, the AI Enablement Specialist bridges AI tools and people across the organization.
  • Works with citizen developers, business users, and IT/Product teams to discover, adopt, and use AI responsibly.

Key Areas of Accountability

  • Enable non technical users to safely use approved AI tools.
  • Facilitate AI tooling for technical teams.
  • Develop and deliver onboarding programs for AI tools.
  • Partner with managers to identify AI value and design adoption plans.
  • Facilitate the AI Working group.
  • Support citizen developers in building AI workflows.
  • Run enablement sessions and Q&A drop ins.
  • Act as first point of contact for AI questions.
  • Own administration of AI tool licenses and subscriptions.
  • Monitor usage data to optimize spend.
  • Develop and maintain Acceptable AI Use policy.
  • Collaborate with P&C and L&D to embed AI literacy.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Business Systems, or equivalent.
  • Certified AI Enablement Professional (KPII).
  • Prosci Change Management certification an asset.
  • Technical product management certification an asset.
  • Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI 900) or Azure AI Engineer.
  • 7+ years IT experience with at least 2 years in Enterprise AI tools.
  • Understanding of AI fundamentals: prompt engineering, context engineering, custom GPTs, agentic AI.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms (Claude Code, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Foundry, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric).
  • Hands on experience with AI productivity tools.
  • Background in training, enablement, change management.
  • Working knowledge of data classification and compliance frameworks.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid role with three in office days per week based in Vancouver, BC.

Compensation

  • Base salary CAD 70,000 to CAD 85,000 per annum.
