About the Role
Rocky Mountaineer is seeking an AI Enablement Specialist to bridge AI tools with business users. The role involves enabling adoption, managing governance, and advocating for responsible AI use.

Responsibilities
- Enable non technical users across the business to safely and effectively use approved AI tools
- Facilitate AI tooling (SLMs, LLMs, Claude, Copilot, Microsoft Foundry) for technical back end engineering and product teams
- Develop and deliver onboarding programs for non technical business users adopting AI tools
- Partner with managers and department heads to identify where AI can add value and design targeted adoption plans
- Facilitate the AI Working group, leading meetings, documenting use cases, and ensuring transparent communication
- Support citizen developers in building lightweight AI powered workflows
- Run regular enablement sessions, lunch and learns, and Q&A drop ins to sustain engagement
- Act as first point of contact for AI related questions from business users
- Own day to day administration of AI tool licenses and subscriptions including role based access, seat/license allocation, provisioning, and offboarding
- Monitor usage data to optimize license and credit spend and make evidence based recommendations
- Develop and maintain an Acceptable AI Use policy in collaboration with Compliance and IT Security
- Collaborate with P&C and L&D team to embed AI literacy into broader skills development programs
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Systems, or equivalent experience
- Certified AI Enablement Professional (KPII)
- 7+ years of experience in IT product management, operations, or process improvement role
- At least 2 years working with Enterprise AI tools and platforms with focus on training and adoption
- Understanding of core AI fundamentals: prompt engineering, context engineering, custom GPTs, agentic AI
- Understanding of how SLMs and LLMs work at conceptual level
- Familiarity with enterprise AI and Data platforms and their admin consoles (e.g., Claude Code, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Foundry, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric)
- Hands on experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini) in professional context
- Demonstrated background in training, enablement, change management, or digital adoption roles
- Working knowledge of data classification principles
- Understanding of key compliance frameworks relevant to AI use (GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI)

Purpose
- The AI Enablement Specialist is the bridge between powerful AI tools and the people across the organization.
- Works directly with citizen developers, business users, and IT/Product teams to help them discover, adopt, and use AI responsibly.
Key Areas of Accountability

Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Certified AI Enablement Professional (KPII).
- Prosci Change Management certification an asset.
- Technical product management certification an asset.
- Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI 900) or Azure AI Engineer an asset.

Work Environment
- Hybrid role with three in office days per week based in Vancouver, BC.
Compensation
- Base salary offered: CAD 70,000 to CAD 85,000 per annum.
- Eligible for Armstrong Collective's discretionary bonus program.
