Purpose

  • The AI Enablement Specialist is the bridge between powerful AI tools and the people across the organization.
  • Works directly with citizen developers, business users, and IT/Product teams to help them discover, adopt, and use AI responsibly.

Key Areas of Accountability

  • Enablement, Adoption, and Training: Enable non technical users to safely use approved AI tools.
  • Facilitate AI tooling for technical back end engineering and product teams.
  • Develop and deliver onboarding programs for non technical business users.
  • Partner with managers to identify where AI can add value and design adoption plans.
  • Facilitate the AI Working group.
  • Support citizen developers in building lightweight AI powered workflows.
  • Run regular enablement sessions, lunch and learns, and Q&A drop ins.
  • Act as first point of contact for AI related questions.
  • Governance: Own day to day administration of AI tool licenses and subscriptions.
  • Monitor usage data to optimize license and credit spend.
  • Keep current inventory of AI tools and recommend emerging technologies.
  • Develop and maintain an Acceptable AI Use policy.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Certified AI Enablement Professional (KPII).
  • Prosci Change Management certification an asset.
  • Technical product management certification an asset.
  • Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI 900) or Azure AI Engineer an asset.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT product management, operations, or process improvement role.
  • At least 2 years working with Enterprise AI tools and platforms with focus on training and adoption.
  • Understanding of core AI fundamentals: prompt engineering, context engineering, custom GPTs, agentic AI.
  • Understanding of how SLMs and LLMs work at conceptual level.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI and Data platforms and their admin consoles.
  • Hands on experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini).
  • Demonstrated background in training, enablement, change management, or digital adoption roles.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid role with three in office days per week based in Vancouver, BC.

Compensation

  • Base salary offered: CAD 70,000 to CAD 85,000 per annum.
  • Eligible for Armstrong Collective's discretionary bonus program.
