The opportunity

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyze client requirements and translate business needs into technical designs and architectures.
• Design user interfaces for mobile, web, and tablet platforms and write clean, maintainable code.
• Develop prototypes, demos, APIs, extensibility models, and distributed systems capabilities.
• Apply machine learning, generative AI, data visualization, and analytics to real-world business problems.
• Create testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment automation.
• Teach clients how to build and deliver commercial software and services at scale.
• Regular travel may be required to meet with clients.

Skills and attributes

• Work effectively in an agile delivery process and understand modern software engineering methodologies.
• Work on scheduling, resource management, messaging, distributed caching, and infrastructure automation.
• Build user experiences, testing automation, APIs, and platform extensibility models.

Required qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Typically 2–4 years of relevant experience is expected.
• 3–5 or more years of Angular or similar frontend framework experience is required.
• Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular knowledge is required.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Temporal, generative AI, and building agents is required.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, Java, Python, FastAPI, OpenAPI, authentication, and authorization is required.
• Experience with data visualization, commercial dashboards, test-driven development, unit testing, and complex codebases is required.

Preferred qualifications

• Passion for delivering commercial software products and platforms to market.
• Deep technical interest in cloud and distributed systems architectures.
• Experience leading and growing technical talent for software engineering management contexts.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, learning agility, and collaboration skills.

Compensation and benefits

• The base salary range is $102,500 to $187,900 across U.S. geographic locations.
• The base salary range is $122,900 to $213,400 for New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California excluding Sacramento.
• Compensation varies based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
