AI/Data Application Developer, TD Securities

Work Location and Schedule

• Work location is Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Compensation

• The stated base pay range is $102,200 to $125,000 CAD.
• The role is eligible for discretionary variable compensation based on business and individual performance.

Role Overview

Role Responsibilities

• Support AI-powered capabilities including intelligent search, document processing, workflow automation, and knowledge retrieval solutions.
• Build APIs, services, and application components integrating CRM platforms with enterprise systems and data sources.
• Collaborate with developers, business systems analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into working solutions.
• Support CI/CD, automated deployment, monitoring, testing, and operational support of data and application workloads.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to CRM analytics, client intelligence, reporting, and AI enablement initiatives through trusted and reusable technology and data assets.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or related technology roles.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, Java Spring, and SQL.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or a similar SQL query language, database schema design, performance and scale, and database migrations.
• Exposure to AI and Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, document automation, intelligent search, or workflow automation.
• Experience developing data pipelines, ETL processes, data transformation logic, APIs, integrations, or application components.
• Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, data quality principles, CI/CD, source control, testing, monitoring, and deployment best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CRM platforms such as Prism, Salesforce, or similar solutions.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation, vector search, semantic search, or AI-enabled applications.
• Experience with unstructured data, knowledge management, or document processing solutions.
• Exposure to Java, React, API development, or full-stack application development.
• Experience in Capital Markets, Research, Banking, Sales and Trading, CRM, client intelligence, revenue management, or market data domains.
