Key Responsibilities
- Analyze crime, intelligence, incident, and operational datasets for trends, hotspots, emerging threats, and relationships.
- Design AI, machine learning, predictive, prescriptive, and advanced analytical models.
- Apply statistical analysis, anomaly detection, clustering, classification, and pattern recognition techniques.
- Use Natural Language Processing to analyze reports and other unstructured information.
- Develop crime maps, hotspot analyses, dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable intelligence and recommendations.
- Collaborate with analysts, investigators, intelligence teams, IT teams, operations, and government stakeholders.
- Monitor model performance, accuracy, bias, effectiveness, and compliance with governance and ethical requirements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Five to eight years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, AI, crime analysis, intelligence analysis, or a related field.
- Experience applying advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI to complex operational datasets.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical and programming tools.
- Experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of Natural Language Processing and analysis of unstructured text.
- Understanding of data governance, cybersecurity, privacy, confidentiality, and ethical AI principles.
- Experience in regulated, law-enforcement, public safety, intelligence, government, or security environments is desirable.
