Fundamentl is seeking an experienced AI and Data Architect for a long-term contract.
The role defines enterprise AI and data architecture strategies supporting generative AI, agentic AI, advanced analytics, and digital transformation.
The architect designs scalable, secure, and governed platforms aligned with business objectives, enterprise standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Define enterprise AI and data architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, standards, and reusable solution patterns.
- Design scalable generative AI, agentic AI, RAG, data lakehouse, analytics, and AI-ready data platform solutions.
- Establish governance for AI, data quality, metadata, lineage, security, privacy, responsible AI, and regulatory compliance.
- Enable AI, machine learning, search, analytics, and business use cases through platforms, pipelines, vector databases, and integration frameworks.
- Lead architecture reviews and collaborate with business, engineering, data, cloud, security, and enterprise architecture teams.
Core AI expertise
- Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, context engineering, RAG, enterprise search, embeddings, and vector search.
- Agentic AI, multi-agent systems, AI agents, planning, routing, memory, state management, tool calling, MCP, and A2A.
- Machine learning, deep learning, LLM evaluation, AI guardrails, responsible AI, MLOps, and LLMOps.
Core data expertise
- Data lakes, lakehouse architecture, data mesh, data platform architecture, data engineering, and analytics.
- ETL, ELT, CDC, batch processing, real-time streaming, data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, and catalogues.
- Data security, privacy, compliance, enterprise data modelling, and AI-ready data foundation design.
Technology stack
- Azure technologies include Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Azure Synapse, Azure AI Search, and Azure Event Hubs.
- AI and ML technologies include Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Gemini, MLflow, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Pinecone, Qdrant, and FAISS.
- Engineering and cloud technologies include Python, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD.
Other requirements
- Fluent English.
- Existing eligibility to work across EU member states is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.
- A valid UAE residence visa under own, spouse or family sponsorship, or a freelance permit must be transferable without a new labour sponsorship application.
- The role requires onsite work in Dubai as part of a hybrid arrangement.
- Ability to travel 15–25%.
