Ila Advisory is seeking an Agricultural Engineer to apply engineering principles to crop production, farm infrastructure, and environmental stewardship in Saudi Arabia. The role involves irrigation design, pest control, technical assistance to farmers, and project planning.

Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles to crop production, farm infrastructure, and environmental stewardship
- Plan agricultural projects, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling of farming operations
- Design, install, and maintain irrigation systems with a focus on water use efficiency and sustainability
- Implement pest control methods, including integrated pest management (IPM)
- Provide technical assistance to farmers and operational teams, including troubleshooting field issues and training on best practices
- Conduct regular site visits and work in field conditions
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Agricultural Engineering, with experience applying engineering principles to crop production, farm infrastructure, and environmental stewardship
- Proficiency in planning for agricultural projects, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling of farming operations
- Hands on experience in irrigation design, installation, and maintenance, with a focus on water use efficiency and sustainability
- Knowledge of pest control methods, including integrated pest management (IPM), and safe, compliant use of pest management solutions
- Ability to provide technical assistance to farmers and operational teams, including troubleshooting field issues and training on best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering or a closely related field
- Familiarity with local agricultural regulations, environmental standards, and regional farming conditions in Saudi Arabia or similar climates
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and reporting skills, with the ability to use agricultural software tools and basic data analysis
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross functionally and support diverse teams on site
- Willingness to work in field conditions, conduct regular site visits, and adapt to evolving project and operational needs
