Position summary

Support guest service and hotel operations in a restaurant reservations role.

Assist guests and colleagues while maintaining professional service and communication standards.

Core responsibilities

  • Assist other departments to ensure optimum guest service.
  • Maintain clean work areas using clean-as-you-go procedures.
  • Use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work information.
  • Engage guests regarding their stay, property services, and local attractions.
  • Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and provide appreciative service.
  • Answer telephones, prepare and review written documents, and communicate professionally.
  • Support team goals and maintain positive working relationships.

Role requirements

  • At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
  • Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to follow safety, security, confidentiality, appearance, communication, and service standards.

Preferred qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience is required.
  • No license or certification is required.

Work environment

  • The role is performed at a hotel property and is not remote.
  • The position requires extended standing, sitting, walking, and handling objects up to 10 pounds.
