About CFMWS and SISIP Financial

CFMWS provides programs and services supporting Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, and their families.

SISIP Financial provides insurance, investment, financial advice, education, and counselling through a commission-free environment.

SISIP Financial services are available virtually and in person through offices across Canada.

The Role

The Advisory Practice Specialist, Insurance develops insurance practice strategies, plans, and communications.

The role supports client and advisor experience, growth, profitability, and business objectives.

The specialist guides, coaches, and mentors advisors on financial advice and insurance solutions.

The role collaborates on training, process improvement, service standards, and service surveys.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English and French is essential, with advanced reading, writing, and oral proficiency.
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree with some life insurance services experience, or a relevant college diploma or certificate with several years of experience, is required.
  • LLQP qualification and an Ontario provincial life insurance license are required.
  • A Chartered Life Underwriter designation is an asset.
  • Experience is required in financial services strategy, insurance services, client analysis, compliance, relationship management, business development, coaching, and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop insurance practice strategies, plans, and communications.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to advisors.
  • Develop training strategies and identify training needs with stakeholders.
  • Support process and service standard improvements.
  • Administer surveys and analyze service awareness, usage, satisfaction, and demand.
  • Support evaluation and implementation of service delivery standards and strategies.

Work Arrangement

  • The position is based in Ottawa with flexibility to work from the SISIP national office and partly from a home office.
  • Home-office flexibility is subject to the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy and manager approval.

  • Compensation includes salary plus an Employee Performance Plan.
