Advanced Linux Infrastructure Platform Engineer

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of relevant experience.

Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a professional level Advanced Linux Infrastructure Platform Engineer to join the Infrastructure & Communication Technology team within UFIT.

Competitive candidates will be self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn with outstanding communication skills.

You will lead medium to large projects and coordinate teams responsible for maintenance, installation, configuration, and deployment of enterprise-wide infrastructure and software systems.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

• Linux Administration of Enterprise Applications
• PeopleSoft maintenance and administration
• Scripting and automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, etc.
• Large scale Linux administration
• Assist Linux Platform Team in architecture and implementation
• Provide leadership, advice, and recommendations on enterprise systems administration and management technologies
• Mentor and cultivate fellow talented staff members
