We are seeking a caring and detail-oriented individual to join our Public Health (PH) Team. This Administrative Support (AS) III position is a key member of the PH team, working with the PH Nursing Team, to provide integrated, strength based, family centered PH care. The incumbent works independently in a fast-paced environment and plays a critical role in maintaining effective and efficient operations within the PH program. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the AS III is responsible for supporting daily operations of PH program including data entry, records management, ordering, scheduling, and quality improvement activities. The AS III is privy to confidential and sensitive information and will be required to use this information to complete tasks. This position requires: Prioritize daily workload to meet the needs of the PH program. Carry 25 lbs. of equipment, carry out awkward and repetitive movements for up to 6.05 hours, including sitting, standing and/or bending for long periods of time. Comply with appropriate hand hygiene techniques, including regular use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer and antibacterial soap. Handle frequent interruptions and still meet workload timelines.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Business Administration diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered acceptable. Minimum 2 years related experience relevant to secretarial/administrative support. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills. Be able to work under minimal guidance and supervision. Knowledge of computer technology and applications including website navigation, office or business applications, health database use (ePeople, Netcare, Meditech, Connect Care or other), Microsoft Office Suites. Prioritize workload to meet established turnaround times. Adhere to strict organizational policies, procedures, and legislated requirements regarding patient confidentiality Handle frequent interruptions and still meet workload timelines. Work in a loud, chaotic, busy environment with other admin supports. Perform administrative duties to support programs and services within the PCA Public Health North portfolio and completed with a high-level accuracy independently but also interdependent within a larger team environment across multiple sites/programs. Perform other duties as required.
