The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative, clerical, and basic human resources support to the Operations Manager and other staff members. This position manages day-to-day office operations, assists with weekly billing and accounting functions, supports recruitment and onboarding processes, and helps maintain employee records and compliance documentation.
Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries, take messages, and ensure timely distribution.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including daily pickup and delivery to the post office.

Support internal and external communications, ensuring messages, emails, and faxes reach intended recipients promptly.
Assist with safety programs and maintain knowledge of facility permits and reporting requirements.
Provide administrative and financial billing support to the Marketing Department; maintain purchasing controls.
Code purchase orders and assist with financial accounting processes.
Collect, summarize, and submit payroll timesheets.
Human Resources Support:
Assist with job postings, application screening, and scheduling interviews.
Maintain and update employee personnel files and HR documentation.
Track and manage employee attendance, PTO requests, and other HR-related records.
Support HR compliance by helping prepare reports and maintaining required postings and notices.
Serve as a point of contact for basic employee inquiries regarding policies and benefits.
Perform other administrative and HR duties as assigned to ensure efficient office operations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Flexible, dependable, and a strong team player.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to operate standard office equipment.
Knowledge of office management systems, basic HR principles, and accounting procedures.
This position operates in an office setting located in Huntersville, NC
Primarily a sedentary role involving sitting, typing, and viewing a computer.
Occasionally requires bending, lifting, and carrying office supplies or packages.
No travel is expected for this position.
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
1–3 years of administrative assistant or HR support experience required.
Experience in transportation, logistics, or industrial environments is a plus.
