About the Department
The Adjunct Economics Instructor has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, teaching economics courses and completing all duties associated with teaching.
Assigned classes may occur during the day, evening, and/or online with varying teaching locations including on-campus, dual enrollment, and Early College High School.
This position reports to LSCPA’s Business and Industrial Technology Department.
Provide quality instruction Exhibit commitment and involvement in the development, implementation, and assessment of curriculum based on program, department and college goals and objectives Attend faculty meetings Maintain current knowledge, expertise, and safety in the subject areas of teaching responsibility along with broader higher education matters and trends Respond to students, faculty and staff in a timely and professional manner Comply with campus policies and procedures Other related duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in any field with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Economics Work independently in the classroom Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Possess great time management and communication skills Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Economics Teaching experience in higher education Teaching experience at a two-year college
