About the Department
This job requires instructional duties that are discipline specific for the Mathematics Department. Instructors will teach a maximum of 19.5 hours. Instructor must be available to teach daytime and evening lecture classes on the Central Campus. Adjunct (part-time), semester-based employment with compensation based on course load and institutional pay schedule.
Position Duties
Master's Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education with 18 graduate hours in Engineering. Three years teaching in the College Engineering level preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified to teach Engineering courses. Willingness to teach traditional, online & dual credit courses. Demonstrate a high level of verbal and writing skills as well as computational skills. Ability to explain complex concepts in accessible ways. Experience using educational technology and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
Other Qualifications
This position requires working knowledge of CAD programs application to surveying, machine drafting, engineering drafting, and to related fields. Ensure the course objectives, as defined in the syllabus, are accomplished. Knowledge of basic and advanced drafting concepts and advanced drafting applications. Demonstrated skill in instruction and facilitation before small groups and individuals. The successful candidate must have experience in the application of field surveying and manufacturing processes. Must have good planning and organizational skills. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in compliance with college policies; submit certification rolls require by the Central Texas College Registrar office by submission due date.
