The employer is seeking an experienced Actuarial Supervisor to support the actuarial function and contribute to data-driven business decisions.
The role supervises daily actuarial activities and supports pricing, reserving, financial reporting, and risk management.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise actuarial analysis, pricing models, and technical calculations.
- Review and validate actuarial data for completeness and accuracy.
- Support valuation of technical provisions and insurance liabilities.
- Assist with product pricing and underwriting assumptions.
- Monitor portfolio performance, claims trends, and emerging risks.
- Prepare actuarial reports, management information, and regulatory submissions.
- Support financial reporting with actuarial analysis and technical inputs.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Reinsurance, Risk Management, and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with actuarial standards, company policies, and Insurance Authority regulations.
- Improve actuarial models, automation, and analytical processes.
- Supervise and mentor actuarial analysts.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Progress toward SOA, IFoA, CAS, or an equivalent actuarial qualification is preferred.
- Five to six years of actuarial experience in the insurance industry.
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of pricing, reserving, actuarial modelling, and insurance analytics.
