Pacific Life is seeking a senior-level Actuary (FSA) to join the Enterprise Actuarial Life Projections Team in Toronto. The role involves Economic Value/Economic Capital and Cash Flow Testing projections for life insurance products, supporting regulatory requirements, and developing junior actuarial professionals.

Responsibilities
- Support Economic Valuation/Economic Capital calculations as part of the enterprise economic framework
- Support Asset Adequacy Analysis including Cash Flow Testing projections and preparation of Actuarial Opinion and Memorandum
- Support regulatory projection requirements including AG38 8C, RBC C3P1, etc.
- Provide support for audit requests and interface with auditors, state regulators and examiners
- Oversee model input data management including inforce liability and asset data and economic scenarios
- Support finance transformation projects, including Prophet implementation
- Develop analytic tools to explain modeled results and movement from prior periods
- Implement process improvements, automation, and efficiencies
- Develop junior actuarial professionals by providing insight, guidance and oversight
- Communicate effectively with various audiences and explain complex modeling issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's in actuarial science, finance, mathematics or related field
- FSA with 6+ years actuarial experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Solid experience with actuarial modeling software, MG ALFA or Prophet a plus

Job Description
- We are actively seeking a talented senior level Actuary to join our Enterprise Actuarial Life Projections Team.
- This role is on site 4 days per week and work from home 1 day per week in Toronto, ON.
How you’ll help move us forward:
- Support Economic Valuation/Economic Capital calculations
- Support Asset Adequacy Analysis including Cash Flow Testing projections
- Support regulatory projection requirements including AG38 8C, RBC C3P1
- Provide support for audit requests and interface with auditors, state regulators and examiners
- Oversee the model input data management

- Support and comply with Model Risk Management initiatives
- Develop analytic tools to help explain modeled results
- Implement process improvements, automation, and efficiencies
- Develop junior actuarial professionals
- Communicate effectively with various audiences
- Foster collaboration and manage expectations
The experience you bring:
- Bachelor's in actuarial science, finance, mathematics or related field
- FSA with 6+ years actuarial experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Solid experience with actuarial modeling software, MG ALFA or Prophet a plus
