The Murphys is seeking a highly organized and strategic **Accounts Receivable Manager** to join our finance team in Doha, Qatar.
The ideal candidate will oversee all receivables operations, strengthen credit and collection processes, and ensure healthy cash flow management across the organization.
This role requires a finance professional with strong leadership capabilities, analytical thinking, and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and reduce outstanding balances
- Develop and implement effective credit control and collection strategies
- Prepare AR aging reports, cash collection forecasts, and financial summaries
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer payment issues
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to improve receivable processes
- Supervise and mentor the accounts receivable team to achieve performance targets
- Support month-end closing activities and audit requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within AR operations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounts receivable or finance operations
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, credit management, and collections
- Experience using ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in hospitality, retail, trading, or multinational companies is an advantage
