Role Description
This is a remote, contract role for an Accounts Payable Executive, AP Accountant, or AP Specialist.
The role processes vendor invoices, verifies supporting documentation, and ensures timely and accurate payments.
The role supports finance and operations teams with month-end closing, audits, internal controls, reporting, and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and verify supporting documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Maintain organized accounts payable records.
- Support month-end closing and assist with audits.
- Comply with internal controls and company policies.
- Monitor payment terms and prepare AP reports.
- Contribute to accounts payable process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong accounts payable, invoice processing, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in basic accounting principles, general ledger posting, and reconciliation.
- Experience with accounting or ERP software and good Excel or spreadsheet skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
- Prior experience in e-commerce, logistics, or healthcare-related businesses is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
