Accounts Payable Associate

• Process inventory purchases and the matching PO's
• Process invoices, ensuring proper approvals, and payment deadlines
• Perform cheque runs and match backup for those cheques
• Reviews all incoming requests, responds, and follow-ups as appropriate
• Works cross functionally with purchasing and receiving teams to resolve PO and receiving issues
• Reconciles vendor account statements, resolves credit balances and/or variances
• Files and maintains documentation related to Accounts Payable
• Perform various additional duties, as required
• Must be able to commute to office location reliably and consistently
• Ability to learn and adapt (coachable / receptive to new information, processes, and technologies within the role)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (strong emphasis in Excel)
• Highly Organized to manage the flow of paperwork, invoices, and vendor communications effectively and accurately
• Exposure to Karmak Fusion software is preferred
• Exposure to Yooz AP software is preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• The work is sedentary
• Typically the associate may sit comfortably to do the work, however, there may be some movement from area to area, transporting of items such as a laptop computer, paper, books, luggage and small parts, etc.
• While performing the primary duties of the job, the associate is regularly exposed to general office environment
