Accounts & Audit Assistant

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Visit client premises for audit and accounting assignments within the agreed scope.
• Maintain and review books of accounts under IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Conduct internal, external, and compliance-based audits.
• Verify records, vouchers, supporting documents, and internal controls.
• Prepare working papers, observations, and audit reports.
• Identify accounting gaps and non-compliances and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with finalizing financial statements.
• Support VAT, Corporate Tax, and other statutory filings.
• Coordinate with clients and liaise with senior auditors, managers, and partners.
• Follow internal procedures, deadlines, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and UAE accounting practices.
• Basic to working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Experience maintaining books of accounts and audit documentation.
• Strong analytical, documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to client locations across Abu Dhabi.
• Proficiency in Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, or similar software is advantageous.
• One to three years of relevant audit, accounting, or assurance experience is required.
• UAE experience is preferred.

Job Type and Pay

• Job type is full-time.
• Pay is AED 2,500 to AED 3,500 per month.

Location

• The role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with travel to client locations.
