Role Overview
The role manages daily accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
The position oversees ledger maintenance, bank and vendor reconciliations, tax filing support, and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily transactions, maintain journal entries, and keep general ledgers accurate and current.
- Process vendor invoices, issue client billings, track payment cycles, and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, vendor statement, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare and assist with direct and indirect tax filings, including GST and TDS.
- Assist with balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and cash-flow reports.
- Organize documentation and schedules for internal and external auditors.
- Maintain fixed asset registers, calculate depreciation, and support physical stock and asset counts.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Two to five years of relevant accounting and bookkeeping experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with accounting ERP systems such as Tally Prime, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or SAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data validation.
