Senior Specialist – Inventory & Sales Management

Responsibilities:
• Review and reconcile sales transactions from stores, e-commerce platforms, and payment systems to ensure complete and accurate revenue reporting. • Investigate payment discrepancies, chargebacks, and credit card exceptions. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to achieve timely resolution. • Record accurate journal entries related to sales, payments, inventory adjustments, and other accounting transactions in compliance with company policies. • Prepare, review, and maintain assigned account reconciliations. Research and resolve outstanding reconciling items to ensure financial accuracy. • Review General Ledger activity, identify variances, investigate discrepancies, and ensure transactions are recorded correctly. • Investigate recurring sales, inventory, and payment issues to identify underlying causes and implement sustainable corrective actions. • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, eliminate manual activities, improve controls, and support automation initiatives across Finance and Sales Audit functions. • Use data mining, analytics, and reporting tools to identify trends, anomalies, operational risks, and opportunities for process enhancement. • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Shared Services, and IT teams on system implementations, testing, process improvements, and business initiatives. • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, audit requirements, and established business controls while recommending enhancements to strengthen governance. • Serve as a Sales Audit resource for complex issues, support team members, and provide backup coverage for critical departmental functions. • Present analysis, risks, root causes, and corrective actions in a clear and actionable manner to management and business partners, supporting informed decision-making. • Develop and enhance operational metrics, dashboards, reporting, and monitoring tools under managerial guidance to support Sales Audit processes, identify trends and exceptions, improve visibility into business performance, and enable data-driven decision-making Core Competencies & Accomplishments: • Improved accuracy and timeliness of sales audit and reconciliation processes. • Reduced manual effort through automation and process simplification initiatives. • Successfully resolved complex financial discrepancies and operational issues. • Enhanced reporting, dashboarding, and performance monitoring capabilities. • Strengthened internal controls and compliance with accounting policies. • Delivered actionable insights through data analytics and root-cause investigations. • Led cross-functional initiatives resulting in measurable efficiency and cost savings. • Basic knowledge of SQL and data querying for transaction analysis and reporting.
Experience/Education: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred. • 4- 6 years’ experience in roles with increasing responsibility AND analytical decision making
