Role Description

  • The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the organization's accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • This role oversees accounting processes, maintains compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and supports financial planning through effective financial management and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the general ledger, supervising accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, and overseeing month end, quarter end, and year end closing processes.
  • Ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Overseeing budgeting support, expense monitoring, cash flow reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
  • Coordinating internal and external audit activities, preparing audit documentation, and addressing audit findings.
  • Collaborating with finance, operations, procurement, and senior management to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
  • Driving process optimization, financial system enhancements, and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and month end and year end closing processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, spreadsheet applications, and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills with the ability to perform reconciliations, analyze financial performance, identify discrepancies, and implement effective solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, internal controls, audit processes, tax compliance, and financial governance principles.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple accounting functions, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, present financial information clearly to stakeholders, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
