Role Description

  • The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
  • This role manages accounting processes, supervises accounting staff, and ensures effective control of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the general ledger, overseeing month end, quarter end, and year end closing processes, and ensuring accurate preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
  • Maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Coordinating internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing financial results, and providing insights into variances and operational performance.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen financial reporting systems.
  • Leading and developing accounting team members, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborating closely with finance, operations, and other departments to support accurate financial reporting and effective decision making.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal control frameworks.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems, ERP platforms, and spreadsheet tools for financial reporting, reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to supervise, mentor, and develop accounting professionals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities with attention to detail and the capacity to interpret financial data and identify issues or trends.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to management and cross functional teams.
  • High level of integrity, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment.
